a setback...but that's okay

Well, I recently found out that my initiation will be moved back. It's a logistics things...nothing to do with me personally. Yeah...I'm disappointed, but now that I know where "home" is, the exact date of my ritual doesn't seem as important as it once did. Everyone always says that AI requires patience! That's so true!

Just wanted to let you know...

That's so disappointing.. I'm sorry. The same thing happened to me too. It's not that unusual. I don't know your circumstances.. but often it's a matter of coordinating it with the collegiate chapter.

Hang in there!

I know it will be hard to wait...but hang in there, I am sure it really is boiling down to a matter of coordination. You know those sorority girls should just be holding Initiations every weekend;) ...

i know how you feel! mine was held off a semester because of a date conflict in my schedule. Darn work! I kept asking if they could just move the date. lol I had to wait until the following semester, but it was worth it!

Thanks, everyone. It's really okay. I won't have any trouble keeping myself busy 'til then. Now that initiation isn't going to be until the dead of winter, I'm even further from finding a dress. Hmmm...

how about the shoes?

Another reason to shop now but just plan on finding an appropriate sweater. Then again, the way retailers like to confuse seasons, spring attire might be in the stores by the "dead of winter". I've done that search for initiation attire in off seasons, and it can be frustrating. My solution? A sewing machine and joAnn Fabric!

You'll be wearing your attire year round...best to get something that you can cover up with in the winter rather than a winter outfit that will have you sweating in the summer.

Get your whites now while they're still (scarcely) available. Most sororities have their initiations indoors, so at the very worst you can arrive in snow pants and change into your whites when you get to the event.

Your initation will be here before you know it.
