Inetta the Mood Setta: "I Quit This B****!"

I heard the funniest thing on a morning show in Atlanta!

A part-time DJ in Mobile, AL had been working hard for six years at the same radio station, and she had had ENUFF! She made a once-in-a-lifetime special announcement on the air to let the people know her time was up! She'll be your hero when the clip is over.

That clip is hysterical.....however, she pretty much stamped herself out of another job.

Would be interesting to see if she gets hired somewhere else.

The funny thing is that since this clip has been all over the Internet and has been played in various radio markets, Inetta has received offers from Detroit, Miami, and the number one radio market of New York City! She even did an interview with a Top 40 station in Portland, Oregon, and they were trying to hook her up with their urban sister station during the interview.

I've heard the clip about 10 times now (and it's saved on my computer), but she held back on cursing. You know she wanted to say something else when she said $6 an hour "ain't nothin'". ;) She didn't touch the FCC's seven deadly words, even at the end, so the stations want her spunk and ability to tap dance all over the line but not cross the line.

GO INETTA!

That was the funniest message I have ever heard! GO INETTA!!

WOW, I wish I could have said all of that before I left my very first job. Kudos to her for doing it on the air, I bet security had to escort her out of the building.

LMAO!!!! I heard that!!! You go girl!!

tld221 09-12-2006 11:19 PM

im just mad that she was getting $6/hr. do radio djs get paid that crappy? i know if youre syndicated, sure youre getting paid! but really? 6 damn dollars?! ive never had to work that low, thankfully.

Inetta should changed her name to Ineeda, as in Ineeda new j.o.b!

That's what makes it so messed up $6 an hour is minimum wage, what is that all about. It's a wonder she didn't go postal on them. Cussing them out on air was the minor compared to what she could have done.

BlueReign 09-13-2006 01:13 PM

I did this once and I didn't hold my tongue. It was 11 years ago and I was 8 months pregnant with my 3rd child. I never regretted it. HR even had the nerve to call me the next day like they really wanted to know what made me go postal. I said never mind cause they didn't address my complaints when I worked there so why did they want to know what was wrong AFTER I quit. I just wanted to have my baby in peace.

That was awsome. I really hope she finds a better paying job cuz that is the worst.

I read the article and will listen to the clip later...that is just interesting that she stayed there so long and didn't get a promotion or raise financially. I can understand the frustration not even knowing the specifics about everything else that went on. That just isn't great labor practices for someone to work in the same role for 6 years and not receive a salary/wage increase.

Things like that needs to be investigated. Something is definitely wrong w/ that picture.

SeriousSigma22 09-17-2006 01:27 PM

Wow! I can't believe that she held on that long! What did the station pay her a dollar for each year of service? Shame on the station!
