Greek Tailgate Ideas

We have Georgia coming up this weekend and we're trying to think of some new ideas for tailgate. Our tailgates usually consist of a keg truck, our tent, a bamboo pole with our flags on it (everyone here does it), some PJ for the girls, music, food, etc. I think we're getting a band with another frat this weekend too, but anyway we're always looking for new things to do, like drinking games or whatever, just something new that nobody's seen yet

It sounds like what could be done, is do something with class and not what everybody else does.

Try a sea food buffet, with corn and potatoes.

Use a long table with silver service(simulated of corse).

Isn't drinking age 21 there? Drinking games??

Who are you trying to impress?

Try getting some hot plates or whatever could cook up some breakfast real quick and call the tailgate "Kegs n Eggs". I've only heard of it once in the Big Ten and it probably wouldn't cost too much. I don't know about drinking games but some sort of eating contest would draw a crowd.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Tailgating was meant for beer and tents.

Frankly, it sounds like you already have most of this covered for this weekend. So other than just wanting to do so, is there a need to try something new this week? Cause if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

And PhrozenGod01, it's a night game.

Tom......Jesus, who gives a sh*t what the drinking age is...its college......and its a football tailgate.

Step 1: Drink all night long the night before while attending a badass band party and blowing copious amounts of money at the bar.
Step 2: Rise and shine early in the a.m. Put on your fratty gameday attire and start the day off with bloody marys, mimosas, screwdrivers, and a fat line of nose candy.
Step 3: Heat up the grill at your prime tailgate spot...preferably with all of your fellow fratters and sorostitutes. Steaks, sausage, brats, chicken, dove, quail, burgers....whatever you want. Switch it over to Bud Heavy, Coors Light, Natty.....whatever frat beer of choice you prefer.
Step 4: Quick change to bourbon or Southern Comfort and attend badass football game. Make sure to carry in boot flask or flexi-flask.
Step 5: Fall out of the football stadium and continue on with step 1.

Dang. You beat me to it.

adpiucf 09-07-2006 03:56 PM

Seriously, when you have to start planning party games at your tailgate, you've turned it into a sorority sisterhood social. Next think you know, the guys will be drinking tea and prinking their fingers as they sip. Just let the people come to the tent and socialize.

I like to play washers at tailgate. It's much more alumni friendly then beer pong/beirut.
