What kind of badge do you wear?
Degree? Full jewel or plain? Guard(s) or none? Badge holder w/ lots of pins or just your badge? *Ritual of Jewels *Plain *Old style badge w/ torch guard *I have a badge holder that my chapter sister made (betasigrose). I have my badge, my sweetheart pin, my BSP breast cancer pin, and my OLK pin on the badge holder, but I also have a new ROJ badge to wear alone. |
My badge is a Ritual of Jewels badge and it plain. I currently have no guard and no dangles.
My pin is in my jewelry box with my ROJ pledge pin, Kappa Alpha Theta badge, and Alpha Kappa Psi badge. In other words it's in the "badges only" section of my jewelry box :) |
I have a badge which I wear to meetings: it is a cross-stitched banner with the BSP Greek letters and my name, which one of my land chapter sisters did. It holds a ROJ pin, extension officer guard, my pledge pin and a 2004-2005 theme charm, signifying the year I joined sorority.
I also have a Mini ROJ badge with a chapter guard, which I save for special occasions (City Council functions and rituals, mostly.) |
I just couldn't get into the cross-stitched big pocket protector size badge with all the pins on it. I know it offended my chapter, but it is just too "old lady" for me. And they had these doily things that were the backs. I was just like "no thanks" :). I don't know where my Beta badge is currently. I am not a good member, I know.

I am bumping this thread because I am curious about the various degrees and badges the members here have.
Degree: Ritual of Jewels Plain or full jewel: plain, although I am looking into getting a full jewel badge. Guard(s): none at the moment Badge holder with lots of pins or just your badge: just my badge |
Sadly, I don't wear my badge much. I'm in an online chapter now, so I don't have many reasons to pull out my badge. However, I usually do wear it on Founder's Day no matter where I have to go.
I was promoted to Exemplar quite awhile ago...a couple of years actually, but I still don't have a badge. I better get on that! Oddly enough, I just contact International last week to see how I would go about getting a new badge. |
I know what you mean about not wearing your badge often. Since I am part of an online chapter, I don't have meetings to wear it to. I end up wearing it to work once in a while though. I also wear my letters on the weekends, but I just started to try to get a FV going, so it ends up being a way to market the org.

I hadn't thought to wear my badge on the weekends! At the land chapter I've been attending I haven't been wearing it either. I'm excited for Monday and the chance to wear it to work!:)

I likely wont get a guard since I will become member at large at the end of this sorority year and will not be returning to my land chapter as it's highly likely it will be merging with another chapter and will cease to exist as it is now. All of my dangles/charms have been made into a bracelet. The beads are sorority colors and then the charms dangle from the bracelet. |

First Meeting
Because this thread had the most recent post, I wanted to share! Tonight, I attended my first chapter meeting with the Preceptor Kappa chapter in Syracuse! The women were incredibly sweet and I learned about Beta Sigma Phi from coming on GC (also the way I learned about the Junior League). I'm so excited! The women were great!
|
That's exciting news! I'm glad you enjoyed the meeting. Beta Sigma Phi is a fun organization. I hope you find a home with the chapter.
Keep us in the loop:) |
Will someone please come over to the Badge Trends thread and show off your badges and explain the different options? We'd love to be educated!!
