Great Sale Rack Finds.

What is your greatest sale/clearance rack find to date? Got pics?

Last night BF dragged me into Banana Republic, where I rarely shop because basically, I can't afford it and the stuff usually isn't my style. I was just poking around, and saw this beautiful sort of bronze/orange dress. Picked it up, hey, it's my size! Hey, it's on sale. Originally had been $118...now, $35!!! Tried it on..fits like a glove. Sooo happy. I just had my wisdom teeth taken out yesterday, but a little retail therapy heals a lot.

This is the dresss:

My recent finds include a suit that was originally $200 something and it had a sale sticker on the tag that said $29.99. It rang up as $80, but I challenged the clerk at Macy's and she gave it to me for $29.99.

That day I also got a pair of black capris for $10 and 2 belts, one for $8 and one for $4 - all on sale. I think I need to go shopping in Philadelphia more often.

P.S. That is a cute dress!

I got a pair of HOT black, patent leather, strappy wedge sandals from Dolce & Gabbana for $68. Original price $545.

Best ever find was a $200 Ralph Lauren dress for like $40.

Oh yea, I also got a $600 Yves Saint Laurent shirt for like $8 at Off Fifth once.

This was back in 2002. But it was a gorgeous skirt from Ann Taylor that had been reduced from over $100 to about $30.

And even though orange is not my best color, I would grab that dress off the rack immediately if I found it at such a price. It's not just cute- it's HOT!

Why buy a dress in a color that doesn't look good on you? I just don't get that.

For some reason, strange colours like orange and bright green look good on me. My prom dress was a very strange lime green color...I loved it. That dress is going to give me fits trying to find shoes. I think I might go with bronze.

Nope, it is because I am a Winter and thus "cool" colors (blue, green, purple) look better on me. But I have had orange/peach clothes before.

Jealous. I love Fendi. I have one skirt from there, but I definitely want to branch out.

Best deals:

$10 work pants at Ann Taylor. Perfect tan color, lined, etc. Bought all the pairs in my size. Originally $98.

Anything bought at the Lilly Pulitzer warehouse sale- recently a $228 dress for $90. Skirts $50.

BEST OF ALL:

Roberto Cavalli dress similar to one that Britney Spears wore pre-Federline. On clearance rack at Neimans.............$35!!!! For a multihundred dollar dress. Very sexy black lace. Worn in my very thin days.

Recent find, Kate Spade Alexis wedge sandals...$295 to $115 at the Kate Spade friends and family sale.

I love going to American Eagle and getting t-shirts for around $5-6 a piece on clearance. I refuse to buy really nice clothes until I graduate, because no matter what I do, I get ink everywhere.

As far as designer great finds...I found a Gucci purse at Goodwill over the summer for I think $1.50. I thought it was a fake, but it's made really well. I showed it to a woman who can tell fakes and she said she was about 90% certain it was real. Even if it is fake, not bad for $1.50. Although it is kinda ugly.

Is Banana republic still doing their summer clearance? I love love love BR skirts
