Greek interacial relationships

Just curious. I couldn't think of anything to talk about, so I thought this would be an interesting topic. Has anyone one ever dated a greek that was from a differnet race than you? Also interacial relationships. For them or Against them. Give me your thoughts. Everyone be honest. No racial slurs either.

A brother in my alumni chapter who died a few years ago was married to an Asian woman.

I saw maybe one white Alpha wife at convention.

I don't think it's too common in my fraternity.

(I see it all the time in APO, though.)

I dated a Korean girl in high school, but that was high school. Now? I haven't dated outside of my race. Actually I haven't dated at all. LOL. :D My schedule is too hectic. :( As far as the Frat, I've never seen a fraternity brother date outside of his race. I'm sure there are some, I just haven't run across any.

There are some cute Hispanic ladies in sororities, and I've dated them. However, if a guy dated black lady, he would probably be ostracized into quitting. I don't find them oh so attractive anyways so it doesn't really bother me.

I've never really seriously dated anyone except my fiance (yeah, yeah, I know), who happens to be white like me. I don't have any problems with interracial relationships, and if my SO woke up tomorrow and was miraculously Asian or something, that'd be fine (little disturbing, but hey).

As for Delta ... I can't see too many interracial relationships happening with my sorors (that I know personally). Not neccessarily that it's a moral opposition, but it just wouldn't happen. I see it more in OPhiA.

What I think has been kind of weird for me is what I've termed "interconference dating" - NPHC Greeks with IFC Greeks, or NPHC Greeks with NPC Greeks, as the case may be. It leads to some odd situations ...

My problem isn't with the attracted v. not attracted part (although, come on, there is a wide range in every race), it's with the "Oh, well, it's okay for this attitude to take place in my fraternity since it doesn't directly affect me" attitude.

And if someone white would have made that comment, you'd be the first one to scream "ignorant".

uhhhhh, isn't the guy white? and no, i'm not excusing his ignorance. but like i said....you still can't help what you are or are not attracted to.

Okay lets put it like this...
it's not about the race, but it's the contributing factor. If there was a black girl that everyone found attractive, it would be different. I think beyonce's cute, it's about race if only because their race determines their appearance. It's sort of like being the guy who hooked up with the fat girl. Y'know? It's the same type of ostracism based on appearance and not race.
