What Blogs Do You Read?

These are the ones I check on a daily basis:

http://thegossipist.com/
http://www.gawker.com/
http://www.perezhilton.com/
http://www.gethairapy.com/blog/

As you can I am obsessed with the celebrity gossip -- haha. Need to get a life but the last one is Micah's blog -- has great style/fashion/beauty advice -- something a girl always needs, right?

What about you?

I read:
www.amalah.com (A lot of her current stuff is about her son, but I started reading when she was childless. She's hilarious!)
www.missdoxie.com (Soooo funny, but hasn't been updating regularly.)

LOL I read amalah once and she made me want to poke my eyes out with a dull letter opener.

For fans of Project Runway http://projectrungay.blogspot.com/ is a good one. It's hilarious.

I like amalah too, although sometimes I think she's a little full of herself. Of course, I can be too. I like the Wed Advice Smackdown, but it's a little too much make up and hair for me. I read her other blog (is it on Club Mom?), but I don't care for it much.

I also like dooce (don't know how to link to her).

Besides those two, I read a lot of smaller personal blogs, many local ones to me, and entertainment blogs (E!, ew, People), Blogging Baby, Slashfood, etc. And a ton of fashion ones because I write a fashion blog myself.

Then there's sorority stuff. I read an ELC of Alpha Phi's, some Greeks at URI where I went to school, some blogs of women at a collegiate chapter I advise, and I have Alpha Phi's entry on wikipedia on bloglines as well.

Oh, I love Amalah! She's from my 'hood, so I love her even more for it. Miss Doxie and Dooce are both great, and I love Go Fug Yourself.

I tried reading Stephanie Klein (Greek Tragedy), but couldn't really get into it.

Perez Hilton is the college classmate of a good friend of mine & Mr. Munch's.

I'm pretty much limited to the blogs of my friends, and occasionally Gawker. My friends and I have talked about having a blog written by an intern architect--but it would be boring and the poor kid would be too busy to write it.

http://www.keithboykin.com/ is pretty good for your black gay liberal needs. And I KNOW you all have them and sometimes I'm just not liberal enough for you, lol.

The only one I really keep up with regularly is called Baghdad Burning. It is written by a young woman who lives in Baghdad.

Pretty much only my friends and my own (when I'm updating it). I'll read random blogs every once in a while when an issue pops up.

valkyrie 08-27-2006 01:23 PM

I don't consider it a blog, but I read Deadspin almost every day, although some of the comments are pretty OINKY.
