sports bra question

I have decided that it's time for me to get a new sports bra because the one I have just isn't cutting it any more. The problem is that I'm pretty big in the chesticular area and am having trouble finding a good sports bra in my size. Someone recommended a Nike bra to me, but I checked online and they only go up to a D cup. The Shock Absorber bras at Victoria's Secret are pretty much pieces of crap and don't support anything and the straps break. Can any of the more endowed ladies on here recommend a good sports bra or a place to buy one?

is there a specific style?

Check out Title Nine: http://www.titlenine.com. They have tons of sports bras and follow a barbell rating system depending on your size and how much support you need.

thanks for letting me know this. i almost got suckered into one as i run, but didn't really want to put out 1/2 as much on my sports bra as i did on my shoes

were you able to get a refund for the broken bra

It broke in the fitting room in the store. Both times.

I don't like the Victoria's Secret ones at all. They are not comfortable.

All I wear are sports bras. The back closure ones I buy at Sears and they do make it up to a DD cup IIRC. The T-back ones I buy at Target. I get the Medium size, which corresponds to a 36C.

I'm on that page now and may be ordering soon. Looks like I'll have to go on the 3 Barbell ones- I don't think I have been anything under a C-cup since 10th grade.

I am a DD, and I find Hanes sports bras w/spaghetti straps are THE MOST COMFORTABLE things ever....and they hold up like crazy. I actually found that they support better though if you go a cup size smaller then what you actually wear, and they still don't smash like a lot of other ones do.

Really? Usually thin straps dig into my shoulders way too much.

And for the back-hook sports bras, I buy them 36D instead of 36C because I like how the D ones fit better.

Ummm, why? 36C really isn't that big, and there are a lot of great bras in that size, which is probably one of the most common.

I bought one from titlenine a while ago. it's comfy enough and works well for me at the gym. look at it this way, I am a 42D and I can do the eliptical machine with it on :)

I like the Lunaire sports bra. It works well and it goes up to size 46DDD. Plus it's reasonably priced. :)

Agreed. Have you ever been properly fitted for a bra? You may find regular bras uncomfortable because you're not wearing the right size. The correct size may surprise you.
