NYC
This is just to ask all the sororities in the New York area to please, put up your rush dates or pre-events information. Please because my sister wants to go greek and we really don't know any greeks in this area cause we just moved here and because both our colleges don't have greek life on campus and don allow greeks on campus at all.
I hope I'm not being rude or disrespectful to anyone. Thanks Betty |
Do you mind saying what schools you attend? I am familiar with the majority of NYC Greek orgs. Some have unrecognized organizations (or registered as clubs) and a few of the NYC local sororities will accept women from other schools located near the campus from which they are based.

I go to New york City College of Technology in Brooklyn and she goes to Monro and we live in the upper west side.I hope this is helpful enough.

Hi Betty, in order to "rush" or join an NPC sorority, there must be a chapter at your university.
|
Betty, are you looking for a city-wide chapter of an NPHC or multicultural sorority? If this is what you are looking for, go to http://nphchq.org and look up the various sorority chapters. Their local websites may have that information.
If you are looking to join an NPC sorority, then you're out of luck. There's no such thing as a chapter of an NPC independent of a college or university. |
You can also look into Phi Beta Psi, a non-collegiate sorority. They have a chapter in NYC. One of their members posts on here occasionally. PM AGPhiBete if you're interested, she'd be able to tell you about it.

FYI, Gamma Phi Delta
Gamma Phi Delta Sorority, Incorporated has a city-wide interest group in New York City. Our website is http://www.geocities.com/mznena77/gpdinterestnyc.html
