ALCOHOLEDU

I just found this on the IHQ site and I think it is wonderful!!
http://www.alphagammadelta.org/conte...lEdu/links.htm

Although Bid Day isn't for a month, I wanted to make sure the right officers and advisors have it!

Reminder...IT TAKES A MINIMUM OF 31 DAYS TO COMPLETE IT AND EVERYONE WHO IS GOING TO BE INTIATED AT THE SAME TIME MUST IT BEFORE THE INITIATION APPLICATION IS SENT TO IHQ!!!

Okay?

Okay.
;) :)

Wow...

I didn't even know such things existed by way of Fraternity programming.

The Foundation provided a grant last year for the Fraternity to begin this program. Many universities are requiring this program of every incoming freshmen and more and more GLOs are requiring it as well. It's not an Alpha Gam program specifically, but we are contracted with them. They are able to keep track of who has done it and who hasn't and provide us with lists. It has good information for our members to keep them safer, helps as a tool for selling parents on Greek Life for our members and can help reduce our insurance costs all at once. Some chapters have taken to going to library computer labs and doing it all together, which I think is the most effective way to get this done in a timely manner!

I'd say that this is very important!! I know that some of my chapter members waited to start it and then found they had computer problems which delayed them starting.

There HAS to be a 31 day break between completion of Part 1 and start of Part 2.

We were afraid we were going to have to postpone Initiation but things worked out.

Of course, it will be easier on the chapters from now on. Last year EVERYONE in the chapters had to complete it before Initiation. From now on, it's only the new members and any tranferred members who haven't taken it that need to do it before Initiation.

That's good, perhaps it can be worked into the new member education schedule and be done early. We just got wireless in our house so maybe those with laptops can sit and do it together in the dining room, or go to a computer lab since the whole campus is wireless as well. I am sure we'll be just as on top of it as last year as we really enjoyed our incentive for getting it done.
