It's the first day of school!!! I teach at a modified year round school, and the kids come back today! My class list looks fantastic and I think it's going to be a steller year! I'm excited! Send good vibes my way! :D:D:D

Good luck WhiteDaisy! I hope you just LOVE teaching the little ones. I kind of feel sorry for you and them, though. The move to year-round school really cuts into those summer activities - camps, vacations, days of having to come up with your own amusements, etc.

Yay! The day was terrific! My kids are great and it was great to have kids back in the building!

The year round thing doesn't bother me too much. We are one of the few schools on a modified year round calendar. This mean we have a 6-8 week summer then 9 weeks in school followed by a 2 week break; 9 weeks in school; another 2 week break. It's great...we give kids report cards and then get a 2 week break from them! Best of both worlds!
