Another interesting Ebay item.
I found this pin while doing a search for Alpha Phi Omega stuff on Ebay. Once again, I've never seen anything like this. The letters are right and the colors are right, but nothing else looks anything like the APO pins we know today. Anyone know anything about it? Is it even ours? Something from APO Philippines? A former local?

Got me.
I haven't seen anything like that before...

I emailed the seller and they say they don't know whether it is our Fraternity or another fraternity that is named Alpha Phi Omega.

There are a couple of Q/A posted on eBay for this item. One person notes that:
"This diamond-shaped pin belonged to a defunct local--one of at least four locals (independent fraternities not affliated with the Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity founded in 1925) that operated at local colleges around the U.S. before the existing APO coed fraternity bugeoned and incorporated as a non-profit, scouting/service college Greek letter organization (GLO). More info at www.apo-epsilon.org " |
No wonder it does not seem similar to A Phi O stuff at all. I am surprised they picked the same colors, though.
