Hey,
I stumbled upon this site and thought i would say a few things about myself and say hello to some lamda chi's.

As a former pledge who's been subjected to extreme hazing, it's very enlightening to hear of Lamda Chi Alpha's strong stance against hazing.

I'm currently leading an interest group to start a new fraternity here at the University of Ottawa. I would like to colonize Lamda Chi Alpha, however our process so far has been weak and met with a lot of adversary. Unlike in many other greek systems of the U.S., here in Ottawa it's a dogfight for survival. The greek percentage is around .6 (of 24,000 undergrads), coupled with a general negative perception of fraternites has made it very difficult for us.

Whether we succeed in our efforts or not, I just wanted to say that Lamda Chi Alpha is an incredible fraternity that will always be a leader among a class of elite organizations.

I want to thank-you for saying such nice words about the organization I belong to. That is what I thought when I went through RUSH 4 years ago. I was just impressed with the way they had a no hazing guarantee and all the other positive things they offered. Thanks again for your kind words.

I think it's great you have such a positive view of our fraternity, even though one chapter treated you so poorly. Good luck with starting an interest group on your campus. It sounds like you'll need it!

LiL_G go for it! I know I started a local against a small Fraternity and we one and affiliated with LXA! I know there are other LXA Chapters in Canada, one being W. Onterio!

Right now there are many campuses who are anti Greek but you can find young men who have the same thoughts and ideals as you! It does take a lot of work but the pay off is well worth it!!!!:)
