Help for an interview regarding a portfolio!

I have an interview coming up with a PR/Advertising/Mktg company to be essentially a jack of all trades in the small company. However, when I go to the interview the President has asked that I bring a portfolio of papers and whatnot from college so that he can see my writing style, along with graphic design projects I've worked on. I've decided to include a variety of writing assignments - a press release, a research paper dealing with the media, and a rhetorical analysis, however, I am not sure how to present it to him. I feel like a binder would be too "college" and that handing him separate, stapled papers isn't professional enough.

What would be the most impressive way to present him with my work?

Go to Office Depot and purchase a presentation portfolio. I use something with plastic sleeves where I can slide in projects and papers-- one per sleeve. Pick 5-6 examples of your work and prepare to share a story about each. Some things may not fit, but that's ok-- just keep those oversized projects to a minimum-- like one brochure or plans book sticking out.

If possible, get a presentation folder that allows you to slide your resume over the front cover. This has worked for me when interviewing for agency and corporate marketing and advertising positions.

I have an interview in a couple weeks where I will be bringing my portfolio. The thing this time is they want to keep it until after a selection is made. So here is my question on that. Since previously I was able to go over it during the interview and this time they want to keep it, should I create a table of contents for it?

I'm just thinking that since my current job has a variety of marketing/pr materials, this way when they look at the portfolio, table of contents will refresh their memory.

I have everything from a monthly magazine, articles i've written, flyers and brochures i've designed, press releases, all on different events and programs and all served different needs.
