Summer!
 

What are your chapters doing this summer?

Nu Iota is having a pool party this month. Should be fun! We might also have a sisterhood retreat in the country.

One of our sisters had neuro procedure done last month to remove a tumor from teh back of her neck that was pressing on the nerves and causing problems elsewhere. They couldnt remove the tumor because it had apparently been a slow growing tumor she's had since childhood and it was just too involved where it was for them to remove it. She has started radiation therapy to help shrink it and improve quality of life.

SO........... :) our chapter has been helping her out this summer with runnign errands for her, driving her to her therapy, etc. Usually we have a summer social but we have not been able to do that with respect to our member who is ill.

Revealing Ideas
 

Hi everyone,

I'm in real need for some ideas...our Beginning Day is next month, as as retiring Valentine Queen, it is my responsibility to reveal our NEW Valentine Queen on Beginning Day, but for the life of me, I don't have ANY creative ideas on how to do the reveal. Could some of you share ways that your Chapter has revealed in the past? It would be very much appreciated.

I have hardly been home this summer! Ive been traveling to job interviews... I want to go hoooooooooome! I miss my sisters!

I have one idea. You could make a huge pink envelope with a big sparkly seal over the flap. Have the president open the envelope (Academy Awards style) and read the name of the Queen. Simple but memorable.

Our group got together a couple of times this past summer (had our beginning day just this past Tuesday)...one event was that we all went to an outdoor theater production of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. We also had our Woman of the Year event which was an afternoon at one of our local wineries.
