Do you still have the warranty on it? If so, use that. If not, chalk up the cost and buy a new one. I recently had to chalk up $450 to get my laptop fixed for something that wasn't covered under the warranty (warranty ends in November of this year)....was cheaper than buying a new one...

I've never run across this particular situation before, but from a smaller standpoint, it IS generally cheaper to buy a new laptop than to try to have the display fixed. Not always, but usually.

My best guess is that with the larger screens, it would be just the same -- or worse. The screen in those big sizes has to be more costly than the electronics.

I think you will end up buying a new set.

Well.. if it "fell" off the wall, that wouldn't really be negligance would it?

If it fell, it's certainly not the fault of the manufacturer, which is what the warranty covers- things such as malfunctions and parts that fail.

True, unless it was faulty er.. attachy thingies.. however you mount those.

It might not hurt to go to where you bought it and say.. it fell, what can you do?
