Anyone else watching it with me?? LOL
Da Brat is LisaRaye's sister right?? Just wanted some clarification. |
That's what I've always heard. Maybe they are "play" sisters. Her wedding was beautiful.
|
They're half sisters. I believe that have the same father. I saw the last 20 minutes but will watch the whole thing later.
|
Yeah they are half sisters. Da Brat really isn't a bad looking girl herself she's just a lot wilder than her sister. I saw an interview with Lisa Raye and she was doing a walk through of her house. She mentioned that Da Brat was her sister. There was a large poster of her in her daughter's bedroom. Lisa Raye talked about when her sister told her that she was rapping and the first time she saw Da Brat's new image. She said, "Girl what did you do to your hair!" They seem to be quite close.
Lisa Raye was supposed to marry this same guy earlier and I don't know what made them postpone it. So I guess they finally tied the knot. I missed it tonight but I'm sure it will be on again. |
I watched it. I loved the way they had her walk across the water. I think the wedding was well put together. However, I did NOT like LisaRaye's hair. The whole wedding must have cost a grip. I thought Preston was going to burst a blood vessel. The one right on his temple. Whew!! I could not be a celebrity wedding planner.

I'm glad I TiVo'd it and Mo"nique's FAT Chance or whatever it's called.
That will be my Sunday wind-down watching. |
I fell asleep on MOnique's Fat Chance last night which means I missed Lisa Raye's wedding...so I guess I'll catch it when it comes on again.

Sister 2 Sister magazine...

Gina, I thought that blood vessel was going to bust too! But the wedding turned out very nice. I thought that the fireworks were better during the recepition than right after the wedding. The cake was neat too (even thought the bakers had to do it over).
And why was Vivica everywhere? It seems like I saw her more there than the groom! :p One of the occupations I have been thinking about lately is a event planner/coordinator. Seeing this gives me a lot more respect for them. |

When Lisa did an interview with Sister 2 Sister magazine she referred to herself as the only child and when she made reference to Da Brat she didn't call her her sister. I've heard that she and Da Brat are sisters but after reading that article I assume Da Brat was just extremely close to Lisa's family. Did anyone else read that article? ^^I haven't seen the article but if that's true that's crazy because in the interview that I saw she's the one that brought it up. It's not like the interviewer had even asked her if Da Brat was her sister. She was the one that pointed out her sister DaBrat's picture on the wall. With celebrities there is no telling though. I don't even try and figure out why they do what they do. I remember back in the day when R Kelly and Alliyah sat up in an interview talking about they were cousins. And we all know the outcome there. (LOL) :D |
I loved the wedding. I liked her hair better when she came to the reception the nice cascading curls. I think Preston did a great job. I watched it twice.
|
Mad I missed it.
I thought Da Brat and Lisa were half sisters. Maybe they just weren't raised together even though they grew up in the same city. |
Grrrrr @ not having Oxygen channel:mad:
Hopefully, someone will post some pics. Someone whose real internet saavy. Someone who knows how to find anything on the web... Where is CT4?!?! |

Well I could see why she would say that. I have a half sister whom I love, but she's 8 yrs older than me and we grew up in separate households. For all intensive purposes I was raised as an only child even though I technically have a sister. What I tell people tends to depend on the context of the conversation. If we're talking about fighting w/siblings as kids or sharing, then I say I'm an only child. However, if we're talking about going to a siblings graduation/wedding, then I mention my sister. It may have been a similar situation for her. |
