Face Products

Can anyone recommend good face wash and moisturizer (with SPF) for someone with normal skin? Thanks! I'm not looking to break the bank too much. I love what I'm using now, but I have to order through a catalogue and I want to be able to walk into a store like Ulta (or even CVS!) and just get what I need, when I want.

I use Clean & Clear Morning Glow moisturizer with SPF 15. I like it.

I like the Shiseido skin care line...especially their moisturizer. It can get a bit pricey though. For a less expensive option I would recommend Cetaphil face wash (just the basic kind) and Olay moisturizer. I have an oilier skin, especially in the summer, so I use the one for that skin type. Overall, I think Olay makes some really great products. I like their Regenerist serum for nighttime and Regenerist Eye for eye-nighttime use.

Edited to change the name to "Olay". haha

I've been using the Almay 1-2-3 collection, and am enjoying it. It costs under $30.

As a hijack, the company changed their name several years ago. They are now just called Olay.

I use the Timewise 3-in-1 Cleanser from Mary Kay. It's a little pricey, but the stuff lasts forever! I have oily skin, and this stuff will really cut through the oil.

I think that was around the time that one of the sketch comedy shows (it wasn't SNL, but I don't remember which one it was) did an "Oil of OK" sketch - for when you just need to look Ok.

ETA: When I'm not using Pro-active, I usually use whatever Avon had on sale recently. Although that doesn't help, because you can't just go into a store and get it. Around me, however, there are ususally several Avon dealers that carry a huge stock at the flea-markets. They ususally have good prices too, because they buy big quantities.

My mom uses that and loves it!

Yea. I learned about it in my marketing class. They wanted to appeal to a younger demographic and found that Oil in their name made it seem older and less hip, plus the woman on the packaging looked older, so they quietly dropped the Oil from their name and discretely made the woman on their logo younger-looking.

The packaging and marketing HAVE changed dramatically over the past few years. I remember it used to be that pink bottle and it smelled a little weird. Plus, the word "oil" in face products doesn't really sound appealing I guess...haha.

Yea. They didn't publicize the change at all and tried to make it as discrete and seamless as possible to make it seem like the only change was in the consumers' minds.

I like Neutrogena healthy skin moisturizer with SPF 15.

I do have normal skin that is sensitive. I have never had acne on my face, though I do get rosacea from the sun.

I use Noxzema to wash my face. For moisturizer, I use either Oil of Olay SPF 15 or Cetaphil.
