I'm back!
 

Hey there everyone,

I haven't posted to Greek Chat in probably about 2 years, but I'm inspired to get active again.

For those of you that weren't around then, or have forgotten me, I rushed at Wichita State in Fall '03, and was cut from every house but APhi. I had a long rush thread and everything. Well, I spent about a semester and 1/2 being very actively involved in the house and such, and then I met my boyfriend. Needless to say, I soon became much too busy, and felt very distant from my sisters (most of whom were 2-3 years younger than me). The ones that were my age had been in the house for 3-4 years already, and had their bonds already developed, and didn't take much time to get to know me.

Anyway, After the 03-04 school year, I decided to go alum, since I had completed my 4th year of school, but only 1 year in the house.

I haven't been active at all in my alum chapter here in Wichita, because I was afraid that several girls that were in the house at the same time as me would be mad at me for going alum so quickly after initiation, and for basically disappearing.

I'm wanting to get more involved now. I've been in contact with a couple of my sisters, and they don't seem to be mad at all. So, to end a really long, slightly pointless post, I am ready to start reconnecting to my APhi sisters, and that includes all of you!

Edit - Oh, and I think I'm listed as Alum '05, since that was the year I was supposed to graduate, though I didn't really graduate until this May. How would I find that out?

Congratulations, and welcome back. I'm not sure how you'd find out whether you're listed as Alum '05 - you might check with the Executive Office.

Sistermadly i see your still holding out hope that santos / mcgarry wins....hehehe i am still in denial over the ending of that show i went out and bought all 6 seasons on dvd and on reserve for season 7.

Amandeamarie welcome back! I am wanting to get back and get more involved too! i lost touch for a a yr or two and now i want to reconnect as well. I have made some life decisions that is perking my morale back up about life. My divorce in the last few yrs has left me very disillusioned and well hacked at everyone and thing. So I decided to go back and get my teaching credentials and secondly, i am going to be aggressive with kaiser in getting Gastric bypass....i like to see my son grow up and i want t o be healthy again.

I'm glad you're back, I was wondering where you had gone actually. You definitely should get involved with your AC. I personally think that being an alum is even more fun than being a collegiate, as much fun as I had in college (and the dues are much cheaper too!). Of course, since graduating I've made Alpha Phi my life, so I better like it!
