Why is the USA making excuses for North Korea?

North Korea attempted to launch three missles one of which failed and the word is that a fourth missle has just been launched. North Korea continues to boldly flex it's military muscle as America continues to make lame excuses for North Korea's behavior, I heard one ret. general say that North Korea is just looking for attention. The ret. general then went on to say that Iran was a bigger threat then North Korea which I think is B.S it's as if the fact that North Korea having nukes is making America back off the bold talk that was displayed in the case of Iraq. Other nations watching this will soon be trying to develop their nuclear programs as Iran is doing.....b/c it seems a good tool in keeping America off of their backs.

North Korea is again making threats to test nuclear weapons and again the U.S is content to plead & beg the North Koreans to rethink this action. In my opinion this makes the U.S seem weak it sends a message that if a country can stand toe to toe w/ the U.S they get a pass, while smaller nations who can't get the beat down.

Just b/c many of my post are against Bush & the war in Iraq doesn't mean they are not intelligent.

You're right, sometimes it has nothing to do with Bush, sometimes they're just completely irrational.

Let's see if @ this point you still think Bush is doing a good job or the war in Iraq is going well...you may be irrational.

Unjust & poorly conducted wars never go well. However the first Gulf war went well and Bosnia was not a problem..Grenada, WW2 (once the U.S got involved) didn't go bad.
Now let us talk about the hardships facing the American people under Bush the Aveage home income adjusted for inflation fell 2.3% from 2001-2004, now I know how many people hate Clinton but while he was president home income rose by 12.3% from 1995-1998 & 17.3% from 1998-2001 The above growth was longest period of economic expansion in the country's history, so I think it's fair to say if the aveage American was asked are you better off today then (6) yrs ago you would get a resounding NO!!!

I can't believe that people are claiming that North Korea was bluffing and didn't really test a nuclear weapon.
