Can't find in search
 

I know this question has probably been posted a million times, and I know it stinks when it comes up again and again, but I put it in the search for the alpha delta pi forum and its not coming up. I was looking for something on recruitment themes. We have a board we have to decorate in the University Center, so that people can come by and see pictures and things to get an idea before they go through recruitment I guess. We need a theme for the board, and it doesn't need to be our bid day t-shirt theme. We want to decorate it cute! Any suggestions, or links you have on hand to another thread? Thanks so much.

This might sound lame, :D but you could always do the theme "We are Family" and put lyrics from the song up there.

Here are the lyrics:

Like I said, you could pick and chose some lyrics, type them up and put them around, like a collage. Then put tons of pictures from the chapter. Pictures from Bid day(s), date parties, Diamond ball(s), Initiation (afterwords obviously), philanthropy's, and just lounging around.

You could also put things from our creed (ex. I believe in Alpha Delta Pi, I believe that my sorority is more than a ritual or a symbol, that it is a way of life).

You could also put up a picture of Alphie, what would be perfect is if you have a picture of sisters with an Alphie, then you could "say", "so and so with Alphie, our mascot".

You could also put violets up, say these are the official flower.

I'm starting to ramble, so I'm going to shut up now. I'm sure I could think of more though :D

Em - Did your chapter send a representative to VLS for the recruitment express? They gave some great ideas for recruitment!

Sometimes, the search engine won't work, if any of the words are too short. You can add asterisks ** to make them longer, which will work part of the time.

Once thing our chapter did, when our composite didn't come in time, was to make our own mock composite. We had someone whose major was photographic studies (or something like that) take photos of each sister. Each sister was photographed in front of two different colors of backgrounds - one dark and one light. The pictures with the dark background were then put in a diamond shape, and the light background ones in diamond rows around the dark ones. Even the Rho Chis were photgraphed, but in disguise. In the middle of the Diamond, we put our symbols & creed, and on the edges, we had fun photos of the sisters - at formals, Derby Days, Greek Week, RMH, etc. The theme, of course, was Diamonds are A Girl's Best Friend. One fun photo was from a Christmas card we sent - all of the sisters wearing a red or green sweatshirt and a Santa hat, with a huge lion! Some were sitting on it, others at its feet, one was "feeding" the lion - it was really cute!

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants- just like in the movie, our sorority fits everyone even if we're all different and have different needs :)

Then you could cut out little pairs of jeans or pants (out of construction paper) and use those for the background for pictures...
