I'm Freezing

We recently moved to a new location and the entire office (which takes up the top floor of a hi-rise) is sub-arctic. They're "trying" to fix the A/C... but they've been working on it for 3 months. We are not allowed to bring in space heaters and many of the women (myself included) have been wearing winter clothes to the office.

I wish I could wear a skirt or a sleeveless top to the office without donning a parka... Any ideas on how to stay warm and still look stylish?

My nose is cold and I can't feel my fingers. Is that normal?

ME TOO.

I bring gloves to work. I'm dead serious.

I have a small space heater under my desk.

Me too. Love it. Using it right now. It's always freezing in this building.

Wait until you work with someone going through the world's worst menopause. I'm ready to start bringing ski clothes to work!

I use mine so much that I've had to replace it twice, I use it year round.

Are you working in my office? ;) My desk is right underneath an air vent. It's miserable. I keep a jacket at my desk. Stylish it isn't but it keeps me from getting frostbitten.

Its freezing where I work too, but the problem is that most of my coworkers don't agree. So while they're burning up, I've got a small blanket & two sweaters (that I keep on my chair in the test lab) to cuddle up with when I get cold.

Our individual offices are cool too, but at least then I don't have to worry about some coworker turning on a fan or having maintenance change the temperature.

My office goes from warm, to cold to freezing depending on what wing you enter into. Since I walk around the office a lot for various things and run up and down stairs, my body can never figure out if I should keep my sweater on or not. I've resorted to just leaving a sweater at work for cold A/C days, but leave it there because it's 100 degrees outside.

All the guys on my crew used to make fun of me for wearing gloves and a scarf and bringing my space heater to the station. They were all in heaven with the 60-some degree temperature. I thought I was going to freeze to death. Sometimes I think they turned the heat off completely and we could see our breath. Whenever I complained, the higher-ups always gave the line about keeping it cool for the lights. It was awful.

I forgot to mention this. The people who maintain the temperature within my building never seem to get it right. It's FREEZING during the summers and uncomfortably hot during the winters. They crank up the heat. Yuck. I started wearing short-sleeve shirts under my sweaters and jackets during the winter so that I wouldn't be sweating when I was at work.
