Summer Plans

Ok since the board has been a little slow lately I have a question.

What is everyone doing for the summer?

I'm taking summer classes for the first half then going to Pheonix for the 4th of July.

I'm going to be spending the summer at my son's baseball games, tennis lessons, and swimming with both my kids! I'm taking Jadon to a concert in August also. Grace is too little yet for that! No big plans for a vacation anywhere... yet.:(

I'm marching colorguard...Corpsvets Drum and Bugle Corps.
It's at the "all ages" aka senior level (I'm 29, so senior is not exactly accurate). We had camp this weekend and our preview show yesterday....since it's been 8 years since I marched with Spirit I've had to REALLY work hard to get up to par. Sooo....we're talking practicing after work, conditioning by walking and running at night, and a weekly visit to my trainer. I'm not exactly out of shape....anymore:rolleyes: ...but I'm no 20 year old kid either!

The preview show wasn't the best....but it was fun getting on the field again. The first REAL show is this Friday.....oye....a real crowd!

I am suffering through 3 more weeks of classes...planning a bachelorette party and a bridal shower, as well as being a bridesmaid in the wedding (yeah, the day after my last final) for my friend Melissa. I'm going to attempt to go to VA to the "halfway party" for my fiance's ship - its a party for the families of the sailors on the USS McFaul to celebrate 3 months down, 3 more to go....Um...updating the AZD website and creating the panhellenic one....making last minute preparations for my new member program in the Fall....and most importantly, trying to find a minute or two to breath between all the stress. Thank GOODNESS I have 6 weeks between summr and fall semesters - I'm going to need it if I want to get everything done.

We also just bought a house, so I'm starting to create lists of things we'll need, such as a lawn mower, hose, ladder, etc. Ah, the joys of being a grown-up.

Have you had a house warming party? Maybe people will buy you stuff! :D

Big News!!

I am proud to announce that during the summer I will attend volunteer training in Indianapolis!!! I was asked to be an Area Facilitator. I booked my flight today and am getting very excited.

So, I am wondering about the most important issue of the trip:

WHAT SHOULD I TAKE TO WEAR !?!?

:D

That's great. Congratulations. You are one of the best Alums I know.:D

My plans have changed. I can no longer go to Phoniex. Well I was going to go to Sedona but since there are fires going on right now, I won't be able to go. So I will be stuck in the Land of Entrapment working.:(

I'm staying in the dorms with some of my sisters and we're all taking classes this summer... and sort of half heartedly looking for a job and trying to get over being sick

but three of my pledge sisters and I are driving from ME to IN to attend TLC! we're all really excited since we've only been in since the fall. I can't wait to meet some of my national sisters, we've only ever met any of the Tau sisters at Un. of New Hampshire.... we're kind of on the edge of the AXiD universe out here in Maine

Also working with my committee to write the BEST NMOP EVER!!!!
