School/Team nick names
 

What were/are you fav nick names for school teams.
Or for that matter, your chapter ( be somewhat clean here )
Schools:Loggers, and since small school also follow the big school up north-The Huskies.

As for house, clean would be The Slug Barn. One would have to have seen the house.

Longhorns

With no disrespect intended, I've always been amazed by the Delaware Fighting Blue Hens and The Oregon Ducks.

Closer to home, in the high school ranks, there are the Wheatridge Farmers and the Ft. Collins Lambkins.

There's some school, I can't remember which... but they're the fightin Okras? haha

I didn't go to school there, but Gainesville GA HS has the Red Elephants.

I've always been partial to the UC Santa Barbara Banana Slugs.

This isn't a nickname but the initials "IUPUI" are famous in the college basketball ranks.

The Fightin' Okras would be Delta State located in Cleveland, MS (also known as the Statesmen)

I couldn't find a picture, but St. Francis Xavier's mascot is a giant X.

That is Santa Cruz you speak of.

UCSB's mascot is the Gauchos. Or as Jim Rome would say, " Errr Go Gauchos!"

Ours is not an animal or anything but since they changed the image I like to make fun of it.
