Hi Everybody!!!! Well I dont have all the info on this event yet, but there is going to be a StepShow hosted by the AKAs on August 11th at the Musuem of Science and Industry thats 5700 S. Lake Shore Drive. The tickets are $15 in advance..i'm assumng the same price at the door. Already confirmed are 2 regulars of GreekChat. CHI_ZETABBW will be there as her chapter represents for the ladies of ZPB and Beauty1913 will be representing for the ladies of DST. I attended this show last year and it was off the hook!! Is there anybody else who will be present at this show either performing or watching? Holla Back [This message has been edited by Alias_01 (edited July 24, 2001).] |

Who won the stepshow?
|
The Chicago Alum Deltas won...I believe one of the ZPhiB teams came in 3rd. The AKA's got second, but I thought the other ZPHIB team was better. It was a decent show, but I wish more fraternities had stepped to even out the show. Just my .13 cents!

Is anyone going to the Toga Party at Alpha II Omega on the southside???
|
To Alias_01,
Is there any way that I can get a copy of the video for that, if it was recorded? If that's possible, I can send you a blank tape or something. I just love to watch stepshow tapes...Let me know what's up, k? Si*Si |
The Deltas were younger, and more of them, but they should not have won IMHO! I liked the AKA's and the 2 Zeta teams.
|
Unfortunately I was not able to attend the Stepshow..so I dont have the tape to this show. You might do better by asking fellow GCers if they taped it or know anyone who taped it. You might even want to check out the websites that sell step videos. www. Stompshow.com and www. stepshows.com

I'm entitled to my opinion, regardless of what the rest of the world thinks. Apparently you are taking MY OPINION personally, and it is not personal. A part of being an individual is having your own opinions.
|
I'm sorry I didn't address your question about age(younger). You are correct it was a grad step show. My observation was that the Deltas appeared to be much younger, like straight out of college. Being 21 or 22. So they had far more energy. The other chapter participants seemed to be in their middle or late 30's, with a little less energy.

I didn't take anything personally. I simply asked for your clarification as far as the age issue and then I stated my opinion otherwise as to why I felt they should have won...you didn't state a reason why you felt they shouldn't have won...I did. I wasn't arguing your opinion. Just restating mine. Anyway, to be quite honest, the whole show wasn't worth the money I paid, so nothing was taken personally. Not trying to start anything on your board, I just wanted to address your incorrect assumption. Apparently, things aren't always as they seem...

I just wanted to say that I am on the Chicago Alumnae team that won the show and the ages of my Sorors varies from 22 to 36. I am pretty sure that these are the same ages that are represented on the other teams that competed. We worked hard on our show and I believe that we were justified in winning because of that. But, everyone is entitled to their opinion. For those of you in the Chicago area, please come and watch us do it again in Indianapolis this weekend for the Circle City Classic stepshow. Hey Pebbles!!! |
Just posting so the Z shines through. ;)
