The Multiquote Feature (Instructions Inside)
Well this is just phase 1 of the new and improved GC. With a new GC there are new features. :D
1. Bolded thread titles means you have NOT read that thread. Not bolded thread titles means you have read the thread. 2. At the very bottom of the page, you can see related threads. In other words, GC has done a preliminary search on your behalf. 3. To created a new thread, select forum tools at the top right of the screen. 4. If you have posted in a thread, you will see an arrow. 5. No more member, junior member or senior member, you are all now registered users. ETA: I corrected #1's feature note. Oops. 6. At this point the "log in invisible" feature is not on GC, but stay tuned for it to be returned to us. |
Is this a really good looking layout or what?
Now does this new and improved GC look good or what? Lemme step out and take a look for myself *RM steps to the edge of the stage, turns around, and looks at the new and improved set*
OH YEAHHHHH! This is very nice *nodding at the color schemes and new and modified features before stepping back onto the set*  I'm sure we'll all be happy at our new home. Quote:
Anyhow, if you have any inside info on this, please lemme know. Again, great set. |
7. Instead of member classifications, you should notice a colored dot by your name that denotes your member status as well.
8. At the bottom of the main page where it shows current active users, a plus sign + by a GCer's name means you have them on your GC Buddy List. 9. Subscribing to a thread, i.e. Random Spurts, you can opt to receive an e-mail everytime someone posts to that thread, daily e-mail notification, weekly, or no e-mail at all. 10. Under User CP, you can list your date of birth under profile and choose to either HIDE your age and date of birth, display age only, or display age and date of birth. Have fun with exploring the new GC. :) |
My subscribed forums have been re-ordered with Greek Life on top. Is there some way I can change the order to the way I access the forums?

You can now log on invisible. However, you will still see your name on the current active users list with a * behind your name. You are the only one who can see your name.
Go to User CP, Edit Options and select "log in invisible." |
Psi
Overall, I believe the site looks great. I haven't had any navigation issues. Is it just me or is Psi missing from the Greek alphabet?

It's missing. John addressed that in another thread. He's fixing it.:) |
You can now create polls on GC when you start a new thread. :)

I always wondered on the old GC why it said something about "If you have posted a poll"... |

When you edit or delete a post, you don't really have to give a reason, LMAO. I saw some reasons this morning that made me laugh.
Also to report a post, click on the exclamation point outlined in red. |
More New Features
You can now BCC on PMs. That might get messy, lol.
Multiquote ~ I just figured this out. Example you want to quote (hypothetical scenario) 3 different posts in one post without having to copy and paste. You click this buttonhttp://www.greekchat.com/gcforums/im...iquote_off.gif for each post that you want to quote. When you click the button to multi quote, it looks like this http://www.greekchat.com/gcforums/im...tiquote_on.gif And then you hit post reply, you should see each of the posts that you selected show up and then you can type in between each person's post. More features to come or to be figured out, lol. |

Ahem. When you create a new thread, under the text box is an Additional Options box. The 3rd category down is "Post a Poll." Select that option and create your poll. :) |
I don't seem to have that option. Is it only available for moderators?
