Joining..

Hello, I wanted to know if there was a chapter in the Washington D.C area, because I wanted to join. I checked out the main site and plan on paying the fees next week but wanted to be sure if there was a chapter in the area, if not how many ladies to I need to have one?

Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to our forum!
I just replied to your other thread, and then I saw your message here.

First off, membership is by invitation only. I know the website is a little confusing! You can't just pay a fee and be a member. First, you need to contact the membership department to express your interest in finding a chapter. You can e-mail them at membership@betasigmaphi.org. They will see about finding a chapter in your area (and I can get back to you with any nearby chapters as well). If there isn't a chapter, you need seven women (including yourself) to start a new chapter. I did that a few years ago, and I was part of the start of second new chapter in 2004. Alison, also on this forum, is an experienced "chapter-starter" as well (my second new chapter was under her leadership!).

I'm so glad that you are considering Beta Sigma Phi. Many of us here on Greekchat are really interested in seeing our organization grow among the younger generation of women!

Good luck in finding a chapter. While your waiting, visit www.geocities.com/umassbeta/rosies.html

Hugs,
Erica

Hey,

I already sent an email expressing my interest. I'm just waiting for a response now.

And I actually have the amount of people that would like to join too.

I replied to your PM.

There are two chapters listed for DC.

So do I still email umassbeta@yahoo.com to express my interest?

I just need your e-mail address to sign you up for the Rosies.
