weddings
 

two of the girls from my chapter are going to be getting married this summer (YAY!) and I was just wondering what sort of things you have done at your sisters weddings. Like did you sing any special song, like the rose, DZ Lamps are burning, or anything like that. :)

We usually sing All the Lovely Times...we gather around the bride and hold hands and sing! So sweet!

We make a circle and hold hands to sing "It's Just A Little Lamp" to the bride, who sits/stands in the center of the circle. :)

i have not had the opportunity to attend a DZ wedding (all of my friends are just recently engaged - an exciting time though!), however, one plans to do our chapter dance (a line dance we call the DZ Shuffle to the song Girls Just Wanna Have Fun) and then sing her family song ("Today" - the whole chapter knows all the family songs), which I think will be really sweet :) I've been to a couple fraternity weddings, and have seen them lift the bride up on a chair and sing "Dream Girl of PiKA" or other songs such as that.

The bridesmaids who are chapter sisters of mine will have pink&green ribbon tied around their bouquets...

Most of the chapter sisters that I invited are unable to attend.. so I'm sure they won't sing to me..
