good times must end...unfortunately
Brothers,
The chapter at Grand Valley State University, Delta-Theta Zeta, has been declared by the Grand High Zeta of LCA as inactive, infact, closed. My chapter wasn't able to achieve the guidelines set forth by the headquarters... but we WILL be back! yours in ZAX, Wayne Hsieh Delta-theta 109 forever! |
Sorry to hear about that...Keep your head up bud...just work hard to get back where you want to be..and if you have faith and you believe in it youll get back..Just keep it strong within the brotherhood...Best of luck brother
Yours in ZAX, Vic Mason |
Wayne, it is so sad to hear this news.
But as We all know, if The Zeta is not responding to IHQs guide lines then some thing has to be resolved. Never give up hope that the Chapter can be re established in the future. Try to keep a strong Alum Base and keep Brothers together. I know they all feel terrible at the moment. |
sad
Sadly it's true that everything must eventually come to an end, but I always get particularly sad when I hear about a chapter closing. Even though I don't really know too many of the active members of the chapter that I'm an alumnus of, I always get happy to see them in the Cross & Crescent or any other media.
When I was an active member I visited chapters at Fresno State, New Mexico, New Mexico State, SMU and Arizona. I also met members from Arizona State, UCLA, TWU, and UNT. Many of the chapters I once visited are now closed. It feels like part of my past has died when I hear about it. Maybe I'm being too sensitive about the whole deal, but I love my fraternty and want to see it grow rather than shrink... especially because of bad judgments by some active members. |
