UPDATE on BICHON sorority
I've received a few PMs, so I have decided to keep people who are curious updated.
My sponsor mailed the completed forms from her place in a large city on east coast. (Where I live as well.) I emailed Mrs. Frise (the national officer) to have her please let us know if and when the form arrives. I did ask Mrs. Frise about the next step. She said she fills out a form, the executive officers receive copies, votes are cast, and I'm notified. She estimates approximately two weeks for the decision. Not bad. So I figure, with the long weekend coming up, I should know by the beginning or middle of June. I will let everyone know of the final outcome. :) I can wait. I have plenty of books to read and movies to watch! :) Later.... |
I'm so happy that everything is going so well for you.
I hope you do get the invitation to join Bichon Frise. |
Woohoo! It sounds very very promising. :)
(and I like Bichon Frises too! my friend had one for 18 years!) |
Everything sounds promising! Good-luck to you!

UPDATE:
May 22, 2006: Received e-mail from Mrs. Frise, cc'ed to another national officer, that she received the forms on Saturday, May 20, 2006. Now, all I need to know is the result of the vote. ::calming breath:: |
WOW! Things are moving quickly. I hope everything works out for you!
|

UPDATE: Mrs. Frise emailed me a question so that she could fill out her paperwork. I answered honestly.
She responded with a thank you and "I will be in touch soon." Whew! |
RANDOM: Well, we may be onto something here. This does not have to do with Bichon Sorority, but something else related to sisterhood and community.
Two months ago, I applied to become an associate of the Community of the Holy Spirit, which is a religious community in the Episcopal Church. (This has nothing to do with taking religious vows, but just supporting the community as a whole.) I heard back from the sister in charge of such applications... I have been given permission to be received into the Community! She sent out my medal today! Now, I get to plan the official reception service, which can take place at one of their communities or my Episcopal church. Now, I'm hoping to hear the same type of good news from Bichon Sorority SOON.............................................. .... :) |

Interesting since I am a Member of The Episcopal Church but not active.
Also, the Founder of LXA is of the Same Denomination. A group of us are trying now to find His burial place. Dont get overly spread thin. Time is Time consuming and only so many hours in a day.;) Good Luck on all ends! |
RANDOM: I'm actually in the Washington DC metro area.
Also, I decided to slim down my lists of interests. I no longer participate with Unitarian-Universalist groups. I also cut back on all community service activities until I get a final decision from BICHON. I figure, should I become an initiated BICHON, I will be doing community service through their local alum chapter. (Or giving my time to the collegiate chapter.) Should alum initiation NOT work in my favor, I will then become involved in ONE local community service group. I've decided to remain focused on one church, which is a liberal Episcopal church in the DC city limits. I am also attached to one Episcopal young adults group just because I have friends in it and they do a lot of fun social activities! Thanks for the questions and such.... really got me thinking! More to come! |
