I just found out today I got a job in Nashville, TN! I checked out PO, and I didn't see anything about an alumnae association in the area. Does anyone have an information?

I'm an East Coast girl.... I know ABSOLUTELY nothing about TN! Can anyone PM me if you have any insider info about the area?

Congratulations!! I'm sure that there's an Alumnae Association, but it's under a small town name or something. For the longest time, it didn't look as if we had one, because we were listed as the "South Hills..."

About the town, but not ADPi, ask AOIISilver! She gave me some wonderful hints concerning Nashville when I visited. Also, isn't the alumna on the latest copy of the Adelphean from Nashville (or Memphis)? Another source is by getting in touch with someone from the Vanderbilt Chapter.

I lived just outside of Nashville when I was in grade school. Two of my brothers still live there (but none are single;) ).

My sister-in-law moved to Nashville at the beginning of March and has had a hard time meeting people, since she didn't know anyone in town before moving. I was hoping that maybe I could put her in contact with some ADPIs in the area.

Now, she is not an ADPi. In fact, she received her Pharmacy Tech certification and the school she attended did not have any sororities. I would love for her to one day be an alumna initiate, but I don't want to get ahead of myself here.

Do you think it would be out of place to encourage her to contact some of my ADPI sisters?

I think so! (and perhaps AI would naturally follow...)

Hey! I'm originally from Nashville, but am currently in Chattanooga finishing up school. I go back home pretty often so if you have any questions or need help with anything PM me. It's a GREAT city!!!:D

There is an association in Nashville - I suggest going back into Pride OnLine and completing an Alumnae Involvement Profile - you'll hear from an Alumnae Director - or post a message on the ADPi Message Board Alumnae section - under Alumnae Relocating.

There is a group of Alumnae Directors that monitor that portion of the board and once a week or so respond to the messages posted with contact info since it's the protected portion of the site.
