NW U Women Soccer Hazing

A great reason not to haze? Not only does it divide your team or chapter, not only do you risk expulsion from your university ... but photos of your humiliation end up on the internet and possibly in the news media...

I just want to say that the guy who runs Badjocks was on the radio this morning, and he sounds like a real jerk - like he could care less about what actual harm is being done if someone's hazed, he's just running his website for his own publicity.

WOW, that was interesting.

On to other things now!

Those crazy girls!

Here is an article from SI.com

Well, it's a good reminder that it isn't only Greek groups that can get in trouble for this kind of foolishness.

Lots of lesbians in Northwestern soccer, I see.

I'd be turned on by the lesbian action except for the fact that 1) at least 50% of the girls were missing breasts and 2) the black chick pressing the other girl against the wall looks like she could press 400 pounds clean off her chest and follow it up with a grueling set of skull crushers and dead lifts the likes of which would make the Turkish weightlifting team jealous.

Northwestern's statement about two additional hazing incidents this school year involving 1) the men's swimming team and 2) the students who perform as the university mascot is on the university's site at:

http://www.northwestern.edu/newscent...05/soccer.html

The statement mentions the alleged events involving the soccer team, too.

Personal comment: You'd think there'd be enough things to do in the Chicago metro area so that students wouldn't have to entertain themselves by hazing, but I guess you'd be wrong. Sheesh.

There's an article on ESPN article where the author is defending the soccer team.
here's an excerpt:
"Funny how Colorado's football program survived multiple rape allegations and the employment of recruiting prostitutes without missing one regular-season contest, but two escorts with little credibility and a shaky story shut down the country's No. 2 lacrosse team and photos of college women drinking beer and kissing in their underwear halted a soccer squad."

I think that's Jason Whitlock's article (I also posted it in News and Politics); he tries to break some sort of new ground with his argument, but really his piece is all over the place and doesn't make much of an argument at all.

(which is surprising, because I like a lot of what he's written)

They looked like they awee having a pretty good time.

Shame they are being punished for it.
