Alumni Pledging

I'm just looking for information about Alumni pledging. Some of my Kappa friends say its better to do it as an undergraduate but I may not be able to do so because I graduate in a short amount of time. Is the Alumni pledging process similar to the undergraduate? Are they still able to step at shows or do they even have a coming out show? My friends couldn't answer some of my questions so I'm online trying to get some answers. All I see the Alumni chapters do is community service, which is great, but I still would like to step; That's one of my dreams. I just really wanna know if going as an Alumni take away from things you would do as an undergraduate.

No one out there has any information for me? It's hard enough to find kappas on my campus to get information from. Information is so hard to come by.

Before It Closes

Dear Kappa Alpha Psi/Phi Nu Pi,

I am an undergrad student who is graduating within the next year or so. I am very interested in joining your illustrious organization. I know community service is a huge factor, yet I really want to learn how to step. I feel that I will be exactly what this chapter needs to win a step show. I guarantee you I will not drop my cane. The only problem I have is the rumor that grad doesn't pledge as hard as undergrad. I also hear that they usually don't attend the social functions. Seeing that I really want to step, should I even waste my time pledging grad chapter? I've searched on campus to ask Kappas, but they just don't seem to be around.

Sincerely,

Future Frat

P.S.

I'll still do a little community service.

...Never argue with fools.

ok.....who is this teena chick.....if your not providing some helping information and being somewhat negative, then dont comment on others situations....That other guy and myself seem to be in the same situation, so I can relate to him.

TryingHarder 05-13-2006 03:53 PM

N4L......I'm assuming your talking about teena when you made your comment?

NUPE4LIFE 05-13-2006 04:14 PM

Nope talking about you and nonchalant. You know nothing about my frat because if you did stepping would be the farthest thing from your mind. Join a step club or start your own.

TryingHarder 05-13-2006 04:46 PM

Well, those are good ideas. Stepping isn't the major thing; it's just one of the things I want to do. I probably should have said that even if the alumni chapter doesn't step, I'd still want to join. If I don't have the opportunity to do it as an undergraduate, I'mma go alumni. I know a little about your organization, that's why I'm interested. I see what y'all do around the community and I don't see the other frats doing what y'all do. Something about your organization is more appealing to me than the other ones. But, your right, stepping should be the farthest thing from my mind.

I am nobody.
But I do know that you are begging to get dissed. Trust me I know.;)

Y'all just forget I asked. I will resign from this thread. And thanks teena for showing me something.
