Question about "Sorority"

Ok, so Gamma Phi Beta is the accepted creator of the term "sorority" or the first to use it anyway.

We were founded a few days before Gamma Phi right? (Nov.11th 1874) So... did we just not use the term until later?

We didn't adopt the term sorority untill 1904 or 1914 (can't remember which) when we officially became a national organization. I used it as a sorority info tidbit on a newsletter last year. I'll look it up if you want.

:)

No, I appreciate it. I just had one of those.. WHA? moments when I thought about the timing. (based on one of those annoyingly classist posters over there in Greek Life.. grrr)
