Ole Miss?

I was curious if anyone knows why the Beta-Mu chapter at Ole Miss shut down in 1991? I heard they had a beautiful house. The reason for my interest is that I may apply there for law school and would consider looking into recolonization (I'm a founding father at Alabama).

Thanks

Found out

The national office told me that Beta-Mu chapter was shut down in 1991 due to dwindling numbers. They also said that we left on good terms and recolonization could be planned in the near future. It'll be great for the fraternity to continue spreading throughout the southeast.

founding father at Bama heh... yeah, one of my brothers who pledged here at ECU is there now, Yates... you gotta know him... he told me ya'll are doing great things in Bama... but yeah, you should try it... i'm planning on going to UNLV in the next year and a half and I hope that i can start a colony there... it's nothing like having your Sig Pi bros around

Yeah, Yates is a good guy and he's been helpful since he'd been through it all. How're ya'll doing at ECU?

Can someone give a rundown on the fraternities at Ole Miss?

The fraternities at Ole Miss are big, old and established. Getting a new fraternity at that school will be difficult to carve out a niche.

I know our Sigma Nu chapter down there runs over 200 men and has taken 70-80 man pledge classes in the fall. Eli Manning, Archie Manning and Trent Lott are famous SN alumni there.

Pike, Kappa Sigma, Phi Delt, Sigma Chi, KA and SAE are all big, old, established chapters there - all the fraternities you would expect in the deep south.

Sigma Pi is approved for charter at Ole Miss!

I saw one of the bars tonight on the Oxford Square must have been rented out by Sigma Pi. It had a big Sigma Pi flag hanging from it!
