Reaffiliate

Hey I am an active Lambda Chi at a university in which I did not get initiated at. I have been active here for 1 year now and am gamma. However something has comeup and I relized that it willtake me a semester less in school if i return to my old school. I was interested in reaffiliating with my old chapter and I was wondering how I should go about doing that if anybody knows

thanks!

Drop me a note off-line at fullertonpi@msn.com and I'll go over the procedure.

The inter-zeta paper shuffle

The process of inter-zeta transfer borders on the Byzantine with multiple signatures and forms. The process can be found beginning on page 49 of the Gamma manual and runs three pages!

First, get a copy of the CERTIFICATE OF TRANSFER - that is found on page 49. Then get a copy of the RELEASE, which is found on page 51. I recall that these are supposed to be printed on cardstock, but I don't recall seeing one since I was the High Pi at North Dakota in '81 or '82.

Get the appropriate signatures.

Pages 56 through 59 address the record keeping requirements of the High Gamma(s) involved in the transfer.

The key is making sure that you are on the correct roster for insurance purposes.

See, that really sucks, 3 PAGES!

Seriously, what the heck happened to "we are all brothers"?

The process should be as follows:

New LXA guy: Hey guys, I'm a Lambda Chi from XXXXXXX. (does handshake or offers other proof)

LXA guy: Welcome brother.

THAT'S IT! THAT'S ALL IT SHOULD BE!

Nothing says "brotherhood" better than a bureaucratic process of filing out forms and sending letters. Nothing shows how strong a bond really is then having to wait weeks and submitting form after form to headquarters, yep.
