shirts
Was curious to know if anyone is willing to sell rush shirts from their chapter? Here at Baylor, the university is enforcing stricter rules for what our shirts can say or what pictures we can put on it, so we really cant make any awesome shirts on our campus. Thing is, the univeristy cant say anything about shirts being worn that are from other chapters/campuses. I've checked ebay, but thats juss not good. I'll wire payements for the shirt and shippin. So was wondering if anybody has extra old rush shirts or new ones that u all can put another brother down for. Thanks for the help

Beta Beta added a store to our website last week. we are currently selling our chapter's t-shirts and glassware from fraternity functions, and we might start selling paddles, decals, etc. in the Fall.
as soon as the proof comes in for our Fall rush shirt, we will be putting it on the e-store for anyone to buy. we usually have pretty good rush shirts. check there around Aug. 1 http://www.ncsutke.org/store/store.html |
We always create some sort of obscene rush shirt every semester and somehow never get in trouble for it. During conclave we sold hundreds of our classic "Dont be a Pussy! Rush TKE!" shirt with a skull and crossbones. Then theres, "Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a shit" with the flag. This past semester we did one with a FEMA trailer on it that said "TKE: now with the most houses on campus" since there are about 400 student trailers on our campus now. Somehow we never seem to have any extras. After conclave we took pride in the fact that we probably pissed off every greek advisor in the country. If we decide to make any more I will let you know.

one of the fraters in my chapter made a shirt that has a stick figure on the left side of the shirt with the caption "see dick." on the right side of the shirt it shows the same figure in pledge gear with the caption "see dick pledge Teke." then on the bottom of the shirt its the same stick figure wearing a TKE shirt with two girl stick figures on each side with the caption "see girls want dick."
i know that took forever to explain but it gets some laughs |

TKE Shirts
Hey ... you should check out www.universitygraphix.com they got some pretty cool tke stuff and there are new shirts and sale's all the time ...

I agree that www.universitygraphix.com is a good site to go to. www.getsomegreek.com is a good one as well. Both sites off shirt designs that quite a bit more up to date on fashion trends as compared to the typical greek t-shirt printing websites.
Maybe it's just me, but I was still in school I thought the house with the obscene shirts were rather trashy. I never saw anything like that out of the stronger 150+ person houses on campus. I'm glad my TKE chapter was never interested in anything like that or I probably would have rushed somewhere else. Feel free to gang up on me all you want, but I think that shirts with obscenities or references to sex, drugs, alcohol, etc. don't attract the demographic that we need to be recruiting into our chapters. Make a first impression of being classy high-achieving gentlemen who strive for excellence in every way of life and then that's the type of man who we'll be recruiting. |

It pisses me off when my brothers mention that Ron Jeremy was a Teke when talking to a rushee because not only is it not true, but if a guy wants to rush TKE because a "porn star" is a Teke, then I don't want him in my chapter. Or when they tell the guy how we throw the best parties on campus or drink the most (even if it is true, lol). |
We used to have shirt back before I rushed and before UCF was strict with shirts. It was the "9 qualities of a TKE" shirt.
It listed eight qualities, one on each line and the first letter of each one spelled out huge cock vertically. I don't remember what the qualities were, but the shirt was epic. |
No offense to anyone, but... is this common among TKE's? to have obscene shirts like this? I went to a small campus, with 4 fraternities and 3 sororities. TKE's were one of our GLO's. And they were the only chapter that had shirts with messages about sex, drugs, alcohol, and the like. I remember one that was a brown shirt that was a play on UPS, and it said something about seeing their package.
Just wondering... |

Shirts?
Back in the stone ages when I was in school, any shirts w/ our
letters on them were worn w/ pride. Anything negative or obscene wasn't tolerated. Our letters were considered sacred. Plus back in those days just getting enough cash together for the Tuesday night pizza special was an almost impossible task. So collecting up cash for t-shirts was not a priority. Beer was the priority. |
Here in Evansville, the first week of October is the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival, where we sell stromboli's as a fundraiser (and they're the best ones in the festival, people line up for blocks to get them). We've been doing it for over 30 years.
Anyway, this year we actually are getting shirts made for Fall Fest, so they have an election theme to them. "There's on thing that Republican's and Democrat's can agree on... TKE Stroms!" |
