Expansion at St. Louis U

I know that SLU is up for expansion and I heard that there were presentations, but as I'm not on campus anymore, I haven't heard any details.

Anyone have anything to add?

Currently on campus:

Alpha Delta Pi
Gamma Phi Beta
Delta Gamma
Kappa Delta
Sigma Kappa

ETA: Ok, looked at an old post and saw that Pi Phis, ZTAs and KKGs were suppose to be presenting. My friends knows that Pi Phis did, and thought that DZ was one of them, but wasn't sure, so if anyone has more info let me know.

On another note, the quad is covered with chalking about DST coming to campus. I believe there's a city-wide chapter already, and or a chapte at WashU in St. Louis, but I've never seen their letters on campus before. SGR advertises for events here, though they're never held on campus, and I've seen AKA jackets, but never DST, so I'm guessing this is a new push...

Anyway, any details about any of that would be great! :)

All I've heard at work [I work in the Student Life Office] is that they're choosing between pi phi, zta, and kkg...as you said. I have no clue whats going on with the stuff in the quad though...

Was I right that it was DST? I was on my way to formal when I saw it, and I was focused on that high heels power walk that you do when you're worried about missing the bus (that was running late anyway of course)

All of the NPHC Sororities/Fraternities in St. Louis are city-wide. My guess is that DST is hoping to attract more SLU women. I know that AKA has a lot of SLU women currently, but I have no idea how large any of the city-wide chapters are or how many come from SLU v. Wash U.
All I know that they're all city-wide.
Not much info. for you, but better than nothing.

NPHC members in St. Louis come from a variety of schools: SLU, Wash U, UMSL, Harris-Stowe, etc. When the local NPHC chapters (including ours at SIUE) publicize events, they often do so at multiple campuses.

I knew the chapters were city-wide. The only real advertisements on campus are for Sigma Gamma Rho, though I see AKA jackets. This is a first for chalking on campus as well as seeing DST's letters. I was more curious than anything, and I suspected, as was clarified, that they're looking to attract more participation (and potentially members) from SLU students.

I still want details!! :)

It just says something about improv, so I'm assuming its just advertising an event.

Are there any updates?

Drolefille 05-07-2006 01:45 PM

Not much from the SLU side.

I guess they haven't presented yet. Word on campus was during senior week (after finals, before graduation) there would be presentations from 5:30 to 6:30 with all welcome to attend. So I suspect we won't know anything more until then. I'm hoping some ladies from the presenters side will be on here and share!

Again it's KKG, ZTA and Pi Phi...

:)

I was told the presentations are week of 5/15.

YAY for ZTA!

(Shortly followed by a tiny boo because you are now our rivals ;) )

This really is awesome though. Quota has been through the roof and this will help bring it down a bit.

/really tiny, I swear!
