|
Putzh!
Brother Kenny Chesney, E. Tenn. Un. Keg in the closet with LXA in the Country Song. Get Nose Out of Law Books!:D |
Oh....THAT Kenny Chesney.
He plays drums, right? I'd also have to say that it is highly inappropriate for a LXA to actually advocate for the usage of kegs or other large containers of alcohol. Also having a keg in the closet is a direct violation of LXA rules and regulations. It is also a severe health and risk management violation and should not be supported, praised or celebrated. I think Kenney Chesney owes a very large apology to each and every brother of LXA for supporting a stereotype and fostering a negative image of our dear fraternity. Kegs in the closet one day, hookers in the basement the next. I for one will be boycotting every item that supports Kenny Chesney and the negative image that he has put upon us all. I would also encourage every LXA brother to burn their tickets in protest and smash any cd's that they may own. |
Wanna bet?
Whaddya wanna bet that we see him in Orlando this July?

DOUBLE STANDARD ALERT!!!!!! DOUBLE STANDARD ALERT!!!!!!!
Oh sure, Kenny Chesney can glorify having a keg at a Lambda Chi Alpha house and become a hero for it, even a role model. A keg is in direct violation of Lambda Chi Alpha rules. But if I were to write a poem about having a party with a keg at Lambda Chi Alpha and the good times we had because of the keg, I would be criticized for violating the rules and insulted for promoting an unhealthy activity. It is simply irresponsible for Kenny Chesney to write a song like that knowing the plague of binge drinking that is currently on our college campuses. So, I assume that from now on, it will be ok for me to say that Lambda Chi Alpha can have kegs despite the rules? It will be ok for me to glorify all the previous incidents that I didn't obey and abide by Lambda Chi Alpha rules? |
YOU are to funny!:D
Days of Old Remberences!;) |
Totally crashing.
Forgive me. 1st of all - I saw Kenny Chesney a couple of weeks ago in Austin. LOVED the show!! 2nd - Honestly, how many country / Kenny Chesney fans actually know that the song "Keg in the Closet" is about his fraternity days? I'm 100% country, so are my friends. They had no idea what the song was really about until I told them. Nobody picks up on the "Lambda Chi" mentioned in the song. And most of those that do pick up on it have no idea what the heck a "Lambda Chi" is! From what I've gathered, most folks think the song is about a guy reminiscing about college days and roommates, not fraternity life. And really, how many country fans actually believe that song is autobiographical? Again, I'm sure not many because most songs sung aren't. Since you know the story, you are looking too much into it. For those that don't know, it doesn't really phase them. Have a wonderful day y'all!! :) |
I hope you all realize I was just kidding....
|
Now I do. Thanks for the memo. :)
|
I knew you were kidding, but I also know there are some who would agree with your points.
Anyhow I've heard his set list has Keg on it. I can't wait. I'm going to wear my jersey again and try to get him to sign my LCA hat. |
You Go Big Guy!!!!!
Good Luck!:D |
