Girls...strapless bras?

OK, ladies, I'm getting desperate...my strapless bra needs replacing and I can't find a good one! Every single one I try on sucks. I'd like one that doesn't either a) flatten, or b) give me that weird indentation on top--do you know what I'm talking about? Isn't there one out there that will just lie smoothly? Any suggestions?

Yes, I do.

I got the one I have at David's Bridal. It definitely doesn't flatten.....

I have that 5 in 1 convertible dealy from Victoria's Secret, I've been very happy with it.

I have to second this. I have the Body by Victoria convertible bra. It's awesome...stays in place....looks very smooth under my clothes

I like this one - cause it not only matches your skin, but has the clear backing for low back stuff. I havent used it for anything low back yet - I'm afraid it would look obviously tacky - but its a neat idea...

I think it makes a difference how much, um, assistance you require from your bra.

In Victoria's Secret sizes I'm a DD, and their strapless bras don't work out so cute. (Their regular bras are great, though.) If you're a bigger girl up top, you might find it easier to look for something that's not just a regular bra without straps, but has more structure below. I know the David's Bridal bras, while expensive, do that - they kind of have a bodice to them, if that makes sense.

I'm throwing in another vote for the Victoria's Secret convertible bra. It definitely doesn't flatten and it stays in place pretty well.

I bought some new bras from Intimacy in Atlanta a few months ago, and I asked the saleswoman about strapless bras. She said if you are a DD or larger, there really isn't a good bra out there that will give you the support you need.

I was sad afterwards....its sucks being so top-heavy.

I totally sympathize! I'm a 38 DD, and it's soooo hard to find good bras, especially strapless ones. However, yesterday I found the honest-to-God best strapless bra ever. At JcPenney! It was the JcPenney Delicates "The perfect 5 way convertible" bra. They have it in white, tan and black. It come with clear and matching staps (Actually clear straps, not those tacky shiny plastic things) and can be halter, one strap, criss-cross, clear straps, or strapless. And I can't tell the difference between when it has the straps on and when it doesn't, honestly, unless I'm like jumping around. And it was only 19.99!!!

They should have them in the catalog or online. They're wonderful...and really comfortable! My boobs look good, with no quad boob, or funny lines, or sagginess!

As a D to DD, I don't do strapless, period.

I do have a VS convertible bra but it doesn't do strapless. It's not bad but I only wear it when absolutely necessary. I don't understand why they put those removable pads in D/DD sizes -- I guess they'll come in handy if I go with that Pamela Anderson Halloween costume this year.

I love mine from Gap Body...th cuos are a little big so I am normally a 34C but a 36B fit better. Try them out they make my boobs look great!

Your best bet is to find a proper lingerie shop and be properly fitted for a bra.

If you're properly fitted the bra should not only be supportive but it won't make your boobs or your clothing look funny. You're looking at spending some money, but it's totally worth it to have a properly fitted bra.

I didnt go to a lingerie shop. When I needed to get new bras, I went to Lane Bryant because that's where I shop. The saleswoman who helped me said that it was part of her training with LB to know how to do proper fittings. I was shocked that I had changed bra sizes. I ended up buying four bras because they were on sale. I agree that after being properly fitted my clothes did fit better.

Every so often department stores also have sales ads when a they have professional fitters(?) available.
