April Fools

Can you e-mail me the scan - perhaps I can work some magic with it

Being a graphics-oriented kinda guy, I'd have to question the validity of the .pdf. A few things stick out...

*There's no C&C appearing anywhere. Our IHQ has consistently used this symbol for years.

*While the color scheme checks out, the C of A appearing below the copy's washed out and not terribly distinguishable.

*There are various GLO's that go by, "The Fraternity of...". We're not one of 'em.

*The "phone number" is actually the primary fax number @ 8741. In addition, the "fax number" hasn't got a "-" to separate the prefix & suffix portions of the number. It's also not an IHQ #.

*You KNOW that somebody would've had their signature & name on this thing, either from the EF or GHZ.

Given the timing of this missive, I'd guess we're being April Fooled. Then again, who knows? However, if you're able to help out the EF by making such a donation, please do.

In my dealings w/other GLO IHQ's, I can vouch for the "de-centralization/regionalization" spoken of in the 4th paragraph. These organizations have a small office staff (sometimes using an office suite as IHQ, rather than a whole building). They also place a large degree of responsibility w/non-paid alums ("region directors" or "regents").

This is a critical time for all of us who bleed purple, green & gold. I have a feeling that the discussion of our financial picture will be held in a larger meeting room @ the Wyndham/Disney in July.

I thought it was kind of obvious it was fake :) !

Anyways, I remember last year I got a few of you guys with a prank, thought I would step it up for this year.

I was hoping for it to last past noon, but then again, you guys are probably the best detectives I've ever met!

Have to try harder next year!

Yes. It was your fatal mistake. You wrote on March 31 about a letter you "received" April 1 --- a dead giveaway!

I edited it so that it would show up April 1.

LOL, I didn't want to make it too real. I don't want the Grand High Zeta getting phone calls tonight asking about it!!!

Only enough so people have to look at it a couple times and think.

IHQ, must think I am Nuts for emailing them and a Member of the GH Zeta!;)
