My sister figured out a way, I think. I'll ask her and get back to you.
|
you put all those files into your itunes player. then you put all of that into your ipod
|
YOu can swap out songs between your iTunes and iPod. As long as the songs you want are in your iTunes, just drag them into your iPod when you plug it in to synch it.

What The Hell is an IPod?
Is that the thing that can make You deaf and that is what all of The Dude and Dudettes are wearing insted of Being Smart an not hearing impared? |
First, make sure iTunes is not set to 'sync with library' but rather to add one-by-one . . .
Second, realize there are limits to how many computers you can use your iPod with, but that these are inordinately easy to get around. |
More specifically:
You need to go to the original computer that you started using your ipod with (b/c theoretically that should have all the songs originally on your ipod). Connect your iPod, then click on "Edit" in the tool bar, and click Preferences on that Menu. Once your Preferences is open, click the iPod tab, and set your ipod to manage music manually. This means that when you want to add new songs to your ipod you have to click and drag them from iTunes to your iPod. (Hold CRTL and click songs to move multiple songs at a time). You can then connect to other iTunes libraries, and add their music. However I believe that you can only have a total of five computers "authorized" to get music from. To go to more than 5, you have deauthorize one before your iPod will work on another one. I'm not sure entirely 100% about that, so don't quote me, but it's part of Apple's effort to prevent unauthorized sharing. |

If you're looking for a 'stand' or something that docks and goes through the data port, I've got no clue outside of the standalone stereos (some of which are SICK). |
