Milosovic's Dead
Slobodin apparently died in prison. Ironically when we were discussing it at a party, my neighbor's hubby who works at State said "I bet the official report says heart attack."

One of the news shows had a picture of the headline on one of the newspapers which allegedly said, "In Hell." |

Ironically a week earlier I had just said how he would sooner die in prison than acknowledge the court. The latest update is that the autopsy found anti-tuberculosis drugs that diluted his heart medication.
With the trial abruptly dismembered, one has to wonder how the ICC will approach cases in the future-Milosevic's was I believe the 6th death in the Hague prison. |
I heard they're transferring the doctors at this prison to the one in Baghdad where Sadaam is being held.

First we were told Milosevic died of natural causes.
Then we were told Milosevic committed suicide. Then we were told Milosevic's body contained drugs that counteracted the effect of his regular heart drugs. Then we were told, under 24 hour armed guard and camera surveillance, that these drugs were smuggled into Milosevic's prison cell and he had deliberately taken them to escape to Moscow for treatment. Now we are told that Milosevic's body, "found no evidence of poison or medicines in concentrations that could have killed him" Sounds suspicious given that he wrote a letter the day beore he died to his lawyer that stated that he "believed that he was being poisoned" and that he was "afraid for his life." |
As many people as he killed, all I can say is that I hope his death was very painful and lonely.
May he burn in hell. |

It would also be disturbing if vigilantism could have occured in The Hague -- it certainly puts the international court in an embarassing light in any event. |
