Ideas for leaving archon
 

Hi ladies,

First of all I am new to GC and wanted to say hello. My name is Sabrina and I am the Archon at Xi chapter at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.

Secondly, my term as Archon will be finished after this semester and I am looking for some ideas of something I could do, whether its a new program implemented or new tradition, that is carried on within the chapter once my presidency is done. My main focus this year has been improving the sisterhood and the bonds we share because we were having trouble with that, therefore, I want to continue to improve it more. Any ideas? Maybe if its just something in the meetings?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ladies!!!!

Id say get in touch with our RCD/RD and RPC and get a really awesome sisterhood/bonding time/team building/retreat going and leave on a positive note - with the rest of the chapter saying "HOLY CRAP SHES THE BEST!" :)

This past fall during my e-board year, our e-board rented a girl scout camp for the weekend (it was extremely cheap to rent) and went camping (we opted for the cabins instead of tents, lol). We called the weekend Troop Phi Sig. E-board members had to plan out sisterhood activities and a ritual.

It was alot of fun staying up all night and roasting marshmallows by the camp fire.

It was kind of hard trying to get the seniors to come along, but overall 80% of the chapter attended.

This was such a great "bonding" experience that the current e-board plans to take it up as a "tradition"

We do a Senior send-off style thing with a really cute ceremony that I can PM someone with and then sister-hood bonding stuff.

However I do recommend that whatever you do for sister-hood bonding please don't hit her in the face with a whip cream pie in case she's allergic to milk and her face swells up. *sighs* Been there, unfortunately the whole thing put a huge tarnish on the way I left the chapter.
