Finer Womanhood Month

Chapters and Sorors around the world should be in the thick of activities promoting the Sorority's concept of Finer Womanhood.

What are your chapters doing, or what are YOU doing on an individual level to promote and encourage Finer Womanhood
?

My chapter is assisting in a workshop that is helping women understand the relationship between healthy eating and living and the health of their unborn or newborn/young children.

On a personal level, I'm simply trying to be a more gracious woman--especially to those who have fallen on hard times. Sometimes they need a warm drink, a dollar, or simply a smile of encouragement rather than a look of distain.

Alpha Phi Zeta Chapter celebrates Finer Womanhood with a few events. This year we had our annual Family and Friends Banquet. I missed it this year (my mom had knee surgery). We are also going to see the play God's Trombone on March 12. We will have our Finer Womanhood Luncheon on March 18.

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Celebrates Finer Womanhood Program

In keeping with the standard of service during their observance of Finer Womanhood , the Beta Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. will host a healthcare program to address the importance of healthcare for women with an emphasis on women of color.

This year’s theme “Mind Body and Soul-Embracing a Healthier You,” will center on specific issues and innovative strategies that improve the quality of life and health of women of color. Lavern A. Burton, Chief Executive Officer of the American Kidney Fund will serve as the keynote speaker for this year’s event. In addition the Sorority will honor some of their members and the American Kidney Fund for the extraordinary work they have done in our communities.
On a personal note I plan to continue to "be a friend a man."
