Moderator Retirement

DeltAlum you retired.

I would buy you a watch but it would turn your wrist green.

--And I'd buy something for Kevin, but he's a lawyer and can afford his own cheap watch.

BobbyTheDon 03-10-2006 01:18 AM

Whoa wtf? What the heck happened here?

Why is Deltalum not a mod anymore, and since when?

KillarneyRose 03-10-2006 01:21 AM

I know I'm speaking for the rest of the mods when I say that we'll really miss DA in the Mods Corner. All the Mod parties won't be as fun without you!

honeychile 03-10-2006 01:28 AM

Especially the ones with the chocolate dipping sauces and whipped cream!! Ah, DA, you will be sorry missed!!

exlurker 03-10-2006 01:36 AM

Here's wishing DeltaAlum the GC equivalent of a golden parachute -- and of course a huge "thank you" to him.

Senusret I 03-10-2006 02:53 AM

James 03-10-2006 03:33 AM

Will we miss him? I thought he left because we were torturing him? Why would we torture him and then miss him?

:( Well, dang!! DA is one of the few people on GC who get my obscure 1960s-1970s references!

Just because you have "retired" from modding, don't be a stranger.;)

Tom Earp 03-10-2006 10:01 AM

Ditto that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Echo that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reiterate that!!!!!!!!!!
Totally agree with that!!!!!

But, He will still be a Member of GC!

I only like to torture a very small, elite group of posters. DA is my bud; I would never torture him.

Bro, I was just looking around, and it seems like you're "Moderator Man" now. You're the moderator of almost every forum.

Kappa Sig is definitely getting represented.

Hey Rudey,

That's a very nice thought, but I already have several of those. They're the ones I can afford.

Thanks to the rest of you as well.

This is a process that I started several weeks ago for my own reasons and has nothing to do with GC itself or its management.

I will still be around as a member. Perhaps I will come back as a moderator sometime in the future.

In the interim, I hope everyone continues to enjoy the board as I certainly will.

As for the "parachute," I have one of those, too, from when AT&T bought the company I was working for at the time. It's the kind that opens on impact.

I will miss the parties.

Oh, and good luck to KTSnake. He's a great moderator. I think Risk Management is an important forum that has the potential to save chapters -- and maybe even lives. I am confident he will do an excellent job.

THAT just doesn't seem right.

Isn't there someone else who can also handle modding forums?

I'll still get them...

BTW, have I ever mentioned that I have a firm belief in not trusting anyone who doesn't like the song "Tiny Dancer"?

Sounds like a good policy to me.

Hugs for Delt, my main music man!
