Brothers Brewing Company
Bro. Michael LeBlanc, President and CEO of Brothers Brewing
Company. We're proud to share with you our many accomplishments, desires, milestones and dreams. And, as the world's first African American brewing company, we're passionate about creating a legacy that will inspire those who dare to dream. Our slogan, "Imported from the Soul," speaks volumes about the passion and commitment we bring to what we do. We're more than just a company that makes an awesome beer, we're setting a new standard and engaging consumers worldwide. Our appeal is uniquely international, crossing all ethnic groups, nationalities and cultures. Like most good things, it all began in a small kitchen in Oakland, California. Toss in a few conversations between a couple of Ques, and something special happens! The genesis of Brothers Brewing Company actually started in the kitchen of the company's original "Brewmeister," Ralston Brown, whose passion for making home-brewed beer was winning rave reviews from family, friends and colleagues who would passionately consume his flavorful brew. Ralston's brother-in-law, Thomas Parker, who was working as head of the engineering department for a major transportation agency, had desires of becoming an entrepreneur and believed that Ralston's beer was the key to making it happen. Thomas broached the idea with long-time friend and fraternity brother, Michael LeBlanc about the possibilities. Michael, with his staunch business acumen and penchant for success, greatly expanded the vision—believing that they could build an enterprise that would see their products on the shelves and in the homes of consumers and retailers worldwide. Michael was so committed in his vision for Brothers that he left his powerful position with the Polaroid Corporation and made a personal financial investment to launch the company into action. In 1997, Brothers Brewing Company was officially "brewed into action" becoming the world's first African American owned brewing company. Since then, Brothers has realized phenomenal growth and success. The company's first product – a full-bodied, micro-brewed Honey Amber Ale, received rave reviews by industry experts – repeatedly scoring in the 90th percentile and ranking first in its category for new beers. Brothers has added to its product line, a refreshing Classic Golden Lager that is likewise receiving high praise and acclaim for its smooth, distinctive and full-bodied flavor. http://www.brothersbrewingcompany.com/home.html |

Although I'm not a big beer drinker, I agree it's pretty good. Some years ago I bought a t-shirt with their logo. Im not a walking ad for anyone unless they pay me but I figured some free advertising for them would help. Anyway, everytime I would wear it, peoople would inquire about it. Not that many places where I live have their beer on tap or have it for that matter. While I disagree with alcohol and cigarette ad in particular magazines, I wish they would advertise more.
