non-traditional university

Gosh, it's been a long time since I've posted on this site! Anyway, I was told that if there are no nphc orgs (spec. Zeta Phi Beta)on your college campus, you may participate in intake through a city chapter.

Question: If you're in a university's weekend college program (full-time status as defined by the school), are you eligible to apply for membership?

I am asking because I recognize that this is not the traditional way of completing an undergraduate degree. Is there a problem with this?

Have you made contact with a chapter yet?

No, I haven't. I was just wondering if anyone has ever heard of such a case, or if there is any rule regarding a case such as mine. Does anyone have any insight?

Thanks!

I see. Yes, Wynna I have plenty of insight into the membership process of my Sorority.

The bottom line is you have to first address the most significant issue. That issue is YOU MUST BE INVITED to membership.

The truth is, no one is going to tell you all of the rules of our membership procedures. Its really not an issue for you to be concerned with at this stage of the game. It has not even been determined whether or not you are worthy let alone eligible for membership.

My suggestion to you is FIRST and foremost meet IN PERSON members of a nearby graduate chapter. I know my Sorors have been very generous in offering to get you contact information. My email address as well as both Moderators is listed in our profiles.

Peace and Blessings.
