Whites in BGLO's or Blacks in PWGLO's

I was reading an article in the December 2000 issue of Ebony magazine and there was a very good article about whites in black sororities. I have talked to many of my greek friends about this matter, and opinions really vary when it comes to this subject. I have my own opinion about it but how do you view the subject? If anyone gets a chance to read the article I highly recommend it.

I did get a chance to read the article, and I thought that the article was very uninformative. It seems like it just barely touched the surface of the topic. Just a perosnal opinion.

I purchased that issue too. And I agree, the article really just scratched the surface. I attended a predominately and historically black university, so it was a non-issue for me while in college. Since, graduating from college, I have met a few white sorors who are active and in a nutshell found an interest in my Sorority, pretty much for the same reasons I did.

For that, I cannot knock them. Somethings I have learned really are not worth questioning. I know Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. will always be a historically black and predominately black Sorority that will address the needs of people of African descent. As long as that is the goal, I don't have an issue with it. My people have special needs, and we are focused on serving them
