How important is sex in today's romantic relationship? I know there are some romantic relationships that exist without it; but how long do they last? Does sex and fidelity have anything in common?

What's up Ape? To answer your question, I think it depends on both parties as to how important sex is. If both parties go into it knowing that there will be no sex until marriage, things should be fine. That's not to say one party will change his/her mind.

As long as the sex or no-sex level is one that is comfortable for both parties, that is what matters. The problems come when one party rarely wants to and one party...well, you get the idea.

I had this conversation with a male friend today. I have come to the conclusion that most men are out for booty. Period. He went so far as to say that if he hasn't had sex by the third date, old girl goes to the bottom of his priority list. If she is a cool person, they can still hang out, but not if someone else is available. I don't think he is the only man that thinks this way. I know a few women who are trying to hold off on the sex thing for spiritual reasons. But there are far less men doing this. Most men that come across a woman who isn't giving up any booty are just going to find someone that will.
